Soile Gendle has been in the dog industry all her life, starting from her mother's passion of breeding and showing dogs. When Soile bought her first Irish wolfhound she was hooked. She soon began attending dog shows and her breeding program started. Whist having built her career in the IT industry she knew that the animals was her true passion. The idea began when she exported one of her dogs to Finland, she wasn't happy that her dog was treated like a parcel shipment and not a person's pet. She knew there was a better way;
Pet Carriers International Pty Ltd started in 1991 to provide a specialised service for pets to be transported both domestically in Australia and to the world. The objective was to treat client's pets as it they were her own.
A lot of pet transporters are volume based, purely profit-centred organisations , and try to do it as cheap as possible with a less than great experience for the pets.
At Pet Carriers we believe a more personalised service that concentrates on a higher level of service is far more important to a good experience for pets and their owners.
One aspect of higher service levels mean that we emphasise play time with your pets, another aspect is that we will strictly follow the IATA guidelines as to suitable and comfortable crate sizes for your pets.
Some transporters try to get away with putting your pets in crates that are not comfortable for your pets and contravene the International Air Tranport Association (IATA) and International Pet Air Transport Association (IPATA) Guidelines.
